I received cortisone shots, one in the thumb joint, and one in each suspected cyst, which didn’t hurt at all, despite my anxiety to the contrary. The office staff was fantastic. Following up in 3.5 months.”

On my second visit, he gave me the name of another doctor to conduct a nerve test if this current set of injections didn't work. Then amazingly, he followed up to find out if I saw that doctor, etc. That makes Dr. Lourie a standout physician who genuinely cares about both his work and his patients well being!”

I wasn't able to bend several of my fingers and the surgery by the other orthopedic had been done about 6 months prior to my visit with Dr. Lourie. “My original visit with Dr. Lourie was for a second opinion after the first doctor I went to said I needed to have surgery on my wrist. Dr. Lourie had a couple of different solutions to resolving my wrist issues and one of them was stem cells. I have always been fascinated about the use of stem cells and picked this option. It worked beautifully and I didn't have to have surgery. Fast forward 2 years later, I tore the extensor tendon in my arm and again Dr. Lourie suggested using stem cells which I thought was a great idea. Once again the stem cells worked and I was able to avoid surgery. I love that he thinks outside the box and doesn't just suggest surgery to solve a problem. Great Doctor and Great Practice!”
