“I started seeing Dr. Dwyer a year ago after my former doctor retired. He discussed the options I had tried and suggested an injection. It was a temporary fix (which he said may happen) and when I returned to get another injection he suggested a thumb joint replacement. This was the first I had heard of this procedure after seeing several other hand specialists with no relief. Dr. Dwyer was sure this would solve my issue and now eight weeks post-op, I can say I am pain-free and have use of my thumb again. I am working on strengthening it but have regained most of the mobility which is fantastic after suffering for years! Wish I had come to him sooner!”
