“I had to have a revision surgery on my right big toe. My previous surgery, which was not done by Iowa Ortho, was a bunion correction surgery that eventually failed after 13 months. I met with Dr. Galles on a referral. He took the time to thoroughly explain my options before surgery, recovery, and risks if I chose surgery, etc. I thought he was very thorough in these explanations. I opted for surgery. My surgery was at River Hills Surgery Center in Grimes. Compared to my previous surgery, I felt the whole process was a step above my previous experience. The surgery center was very clean, and the nurses were exceptional and did a great job explaining everything. I met with Dr. Galles before surgery and was confident in my decision to move forward. I’m extremely pleased with the outcome of the surgery and how my foot is healing. I wish I had known about Iowa Ortho before my other surgery, but I’m happy I was able to work with them on this revision. I would highly recommend Dr. Galles and his staff at Iowa Ortho.”
