“Dr. Parr was a good listener. He showed the x-rays to me and explained my options. He answered my questions. I had been referred by another clinic to see a doctor in Charlotte, NC, and Chattanooga, TN. I'm glad I called Appalachian Orthopedics and asked if Dr. Parr performed ankle replacements. He had done surgery on my niece's foot, and it went well.”

“Very knowledgeable and humorous doctor! We went over possible paths forward with my right foot and ankle, discussing the least and most intrusive options. Cortisone shot has seemed to alleviate some symptoms of the arthritic condition. Would recommend and will be back.”
– Andrew B.
“Dr. Parr took the time to explain the situation and options. He listened and answered all my questions. I appreciate his efforts in this challenging situation.”
– Sharon B.
“I experienced a bad fall late in the year, and the pain was unbearable. We called my primary care doctor and was told to go to Appalachian Orthopedics. Dr. Parr’s PA saw me had it x-rayed which showed the first four metatarsal bones were all broken! Thankfully they were all clean breaks, so no surgery was needed. I was put in a walking boot and yesterday Feb. 21 the walking boot was gone and all healed. Dr. Parr and the entire staff were fantastic. I am very thankful for the care they gave. Thank you all!”
– Katherine C.
“When I arrived home from Finland, Dr. Parr quickly determined that the Finland doctors misdiagnosed a fractured femur as a potentially cracked patella. He immediately arranged for urgent surgery and effectively realigned my joint and pinned the femur fracture. The leg was relatively quick to heal and there very little pain. Everything was explained very clearly to me. I am delighted with the outcome.”
– Carl E.
“I had my first appointment for a pain in my heal which had gotten to the point of needing some relief. Dr. Parr saw me; he looked at an x-ray I had previously had done. He examined my foot and took time to discuss with me a plan of action to help. I appreciate the care, information, and recommendations of treatments that Dr. Parr gave to me. Thank you!”
– Beverly H.
